About Our Centre

A Childcare Centre Run By A Family, For Families

At Highfields Child Care Centre in Toowoomba, we believe the early years in a child’s life are fundamental in creating the path for their future. Our foundation is built on ensuring every child receives the best care and education possible in a safe, calm, fun and friendly learning setting.

We offer children an environment where they feel comfortable while they learn and play and that parents rest assured that their child is getting the best care. We believe that your child’s learning and development when they come into our care should be an extension of their home environment. Children want to feel they are loved, important and unique and nurturing the human spirit of your child is of greatest value to us.

Cultural & Nutritional Values

Each child’s cultural and nutritional needs are catered for at Highfields Child Care Centre, and we endeavour to present a learning environment that is captivating and engaging for each child and their family. All of our educators are highly qualified and devoted and recognise and enjoy the responsibility they have in helping little minds grow and learn. Our responsibility to ensure creative thought is cultivated, inspired and fortified in the early developmental years is supported by our centre’s enthralling class environment, interactive play-scape and first-class education.

Mealtimes are relaxed and supervised in each room, and children are given the opportunity to taste a range of nutritional food. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon are provided at the centre. Children are encouraged to drink water and milk throughout the day. Our menu is displayed in the centre, and we welcome feedback from families.

Our Educators & Management Team

Quality education to ensure you child's best development through to primary school

We value our educators and pride ourselves on employing quality-dedicated teachers who are passionate. All educators meet the qualification requirements as per the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. Educators are required to hold a Blue Card Notice from the “working with children check” – Queensland blue card system. All educators are required to hold their current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.

Educator practices ensure that, at all times during operating hours, there are two educators present with children, one of whom is a lead educator. We aim to ensure continuity for children in our care and develop strong, stable teams so that children have the opportunity to bond with regular carers responsible for their group.

Information about our educators is displayed at the centre, including their qualifications and positions.

Our hands-on Management Team ensure that our team receives regular professional and personal development opportunities.

We would love to share this journey with you; please contact us or visit us to see for yourself.
